      » Committed to His Word

We will look at the importance of reading, studying, memorizing, and meditating on God’s Word. David told us in Psalms that to cleanse ourselves and be pure, we must listen and obey God’s word. God’s Word has the answers to every question and problem we will face.

      » Committed to Pray

God, who created the world in 6 days, invites us to come into His presence and to talk to one another. It’s sad to think that the average Christian teen and adult prays less than 5 minutes a day. We need to commit to prayer every single day.

      » Committed to be Thankful

God’s word commands us to enter into God’s presence with a thankful heart. His Word instructs us to be content with the blessings and provisions that have been given us. Many times we don’t even think of the blessings we possess, our eyes are only on the things we lack. Thankfulness is a choice that we must commit to making.

» Committed to be in God’s House

God’s house is a place for us to learn and to grow spiritually. We need the instruction, and preaching from a Pastor to help guide us. God also tells us in Hebrews not forsake church, because we are to go to be a blessing and encouragement to those around us.

      » Committed to Forgive

We live in a world of angry and bitter people. One of the reasons for this is that people choose not to forgive. There is only one alternative to forgiveness, and that is bitterness. We will look at how God gives us the strength and grace to forgive, no matter how bad we are hurt.

» Committed to Live a Holy Life

God compares us as Christians to “lights of the world”. His desire is that our life would be different from the lost world around us. The purpose of this is not to look down on others, or to have only a good outward appearance; but to live in a way that would please Christ, and show a difference to those around us.

      » Committed to Honor Parents

Whether your parents are saved or not, God commands obedience and honor to be given them. God actually says that when we obey and honor them, we honor Him. We will look at not only honoring parents, but all authority in our lives.

» Committed to Sharing Christ with Others

We have been commissioned by God to take the Gospel to the whole world. Many think of sharing the Gospel only as a missionary on a mission field, or as a preacher preaching the Gospel. The truth is, there is someone in your life that only you can reach for Christ. We need to open our mouth and speak for Christ.
